Effect of Soil Moisture Level on the growth of the Giant African Land Snails, Archachatina marginata and Achatina achatina in different season.

This study focused on the evaluation of effect soil moisture feed intake and weight gain Giant African Land snails, Achatina achatina Archachatina marginata in different seasons using a 2 x 4 factorial experiment with at two levels (low 25ml water/ week high 100ml water/week), species (Achatina marginata) season four (cold dry, hot wet cold wet) constituting three factors. Result showed that there was significant seasonal differences (P<0.001) for weekly snails which values 3.85, 2.53, 3.88 4.44g were recorded seasons, respectively. Monthly gains 5.41g significantly higher than value 1.94g achatina. There interaction between level monthly snails. The (4.28 g 6.43 g) treatment (P<0.01) those low (3.07 5.30 g).
